Jobs help event set for Amber Valley

An event aimed at helping local people improve their employment opportunities is being staged by Amber Valley Borough Council.

‘Back To Work Skills’ will be staged at Heanor Town Hall on 19 June, 1pm – 3pm and offers the opportunity to get advice and support on finding a way into employment. The council is being partnered by Building Better Opportunities, Derventio Housing, Job Centreplus, Derbyshire County Council and Heanor and Loscoe Town Council.

The event is informal and there is no need to register – just turn up on the day.

Commented Amber Valley Borough Council Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Cllr Ben Bellamy: “We’re delighted to be able to support this event which will offer valuable help and information for residents either looking to find work for the first time, or get back into employment. We hope it can make a real difference for those attending.”

Further information on the event is available by emailing regeneration@ambervalley.gov.uk.
