Unforgettable A New Play By Tim Elgood

14th June 2015
(7:30 pm)

A funny and poignant new play by award winning Fritchley writer, Tim Elgood about growing up, growing old, and a lifetime of self discovery, performed by New Perspectives Theatre Company

Unforgettable is about the unique relationship of a brother and sister, Jed and Rosie, as they face lifes major challenges together. Moving in and out of different time frames, the play explores memory change and loss, in a rich and inventive way.

Its the most unexpected things that rekindle the unique bond between brother and sister. An ageing parent is one. Alzheimers is another. But lifes too short. There are new places to go, new people to meet, and new discoveries to be made - not least between brother and sister and their family experiences, past present and future.

Tims first play, A Stones Throw from Edward, was performed at Buxton International Arts Festival by Fritchley school children, and won the Granada Foundation Award. He has written extensively for youth and community theatre groups at Derby Playhouse (Busters Last Stand, By The Baseball Ground), and has also had several plays performed at various venues across the East Midlands, including The Pros, The Cons and A Screw (Derby Theatre) and Mother Came Too, Mad Dogs (Derby LIVE).

Other awards include the BAFTA-sponsored TAPS New Writer Award for Mother Came Too
