Mountain Music By Little Bulb Theatre
16th November 2019 (Doors & bar open at 7:00 pm for a 7:30 start )
Little Bulb Theatre, in collaboration with Farnham Maltings, presents this unique theatrical concert experience, exploring stories around migration through music. When pioneers from the British Isles settled in the Appalachian Mountains they brought with them, in their invisible baggage, songs from "the old country". Award winning Little Bulb Theatre weaves a gorgeous tapestry of culture, migration and history, exploring the roots of what we now call country music and its impact on popular music today. With sumptuous three-part harmonies and featuring fiddle, bass, guitar, banjo and mandolin, we’re in for a theatrical feast of tales and songs.
Little Bulb are a much-celebrated, award winning touring company of international acclaim. Fans of rural touring may remember their last co-production with Farnham Maltings, ‘The Marvellous & Unlikely Fete of Little Upper Downing’. Locally, Farnham Maltings brought their wonderful show, “The Iranian Feast” to Crich in 2016.
