Family Fun At The West Shed Museum, Midland Railway-Butterley In The Summer Holidays
28th July 2016 to 2nd September 2016 (Open 11am-4pm on dates specified)
Looking for something to entertain the kids during the Summer holidays? There's plenty to occupy them at the West Shed Museum with our free craft activities! - Create a model steam engine out of recycled materials. - Have a go at some seaside themed colouring and decorating. - Play with our wooden train set. - Pretend to be a train driver on our miniature engine. - Do the 'Maggie Moggy' quiz.
Craft activities are available every Monday, Thursday & Friday between 28th July and 2nd September 2016. We are open 11am-4pm - just drop in. Free of charge â€" donations welcome; children must be accompanied by an adult.
Elsewhere at the Midland Railway there will be 'trains to the seaside' running (from 2nd August) including a sandy beach next to Swanwick station - so bring your bucket and spade! For more information see: http://www.midlandrailway-butterley.co.uk/events/seaside.html
The West Shed is open for general visitors every day 11am-4pm â€" craft activities are available on the dates specified above.
Admission to the West Shed Museum is free. Access to the West Shed is via a train ride from the Midland Railway-Butterley Station (fare payable) or by footpath from Butterley Station.
