Incident at Belper Supermarket
Around 11am on Friday, 24th August, a shopper was outside a supermarket putting her bags into her car. She was approached by a man with a map.
Whilst she was being distracted explaining directions to Macclesfield another offender entered her car & took bank cards from her purse. These were quickly used to withdraw money from her account. The first offender is described as a white man in his mid-forties, 5’11" tall, heavy build, dark hair, & long sideburns or beard. Wearing a safari style hat, thick black rimmed spectacles, & khaki combat trousers. Police are looking for any witnesses or information and if you have any information please phone 101.
