Man assaulted outside Somercotes pub
Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted outside a pub in Somercotes. Between 6.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday, July 28 a 35-year-old man was assaulted outside the Royal Tiger Inn, Nottingham Road. The victim was struck on the head with what he believes to be a metal chain which caused a cut to his head. He was taken to hospital for treatment and later released. The offender is described as a white man, around 5ft 11in, approximately 30-years-old and of heavy build. He was wearing a dark coloured vest top and was wearing a thick chain around his neck. Anyone with information is asked to call Derbyshire police on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
